Worldwide Smit & Zoon has achieved various ISO certificates.

ISO 9001

For organizations asking how to improve the quality of their products and services and consistently meet their customers’ expectations, ISO has an answer. Addressing various aspects of quality management and containing some of ISO’s best-known standards, there’s the ISO 9000 family.

To assure our customers that our processes are clear, traceable and sound, Smit & Zoon the Netherlands has been ISO 9001 certified since 1995, Smit Nanjing, China since 2013 and Codyeco, Italy has achieved their ISO 9001 certificate since 2020. See our ISO 9001 certificates below.

ISO 14001

For companies and organizations of any type that require practical tools to manage their environmental responsibilities, there’s the ISO 14000 family.

Smit & zoon Amersfoort has a certified environmental management system according to ISO 14001 since July 2010. In May 2013, the environmental management system was expanded to the Weesp plant and also Smit Nanjing, China has been ISO 14001 certified since 2013. See our ISO 14001 certificates below.

Ecovadis

Royal Smit & Zoon started to collaborate with EcoVadis in 2015 and since then, we were accredited with the SILVER rating. We are very pleased that EcoVadis accredited us with GOLD in 2021, meaning that we belong to the top 7% of companies

The EcoVadis model focuses on the Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

EcoVadis Rating

The EcoVadis rating methodology reflects the quality of a company’s CSR management system – through its policies, actions, and results. EcoVadis assessments focus on 21 issues which are grouped into 4 dimensions: Environment, Labour Practices & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

The 21 issues or criteria are based upon international sustainability standards such as the Global Compact Principles, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, the ISO 26000 standard, and the CERES principles.
